Healthy Diets: One Plan Does Not Fit All…

Your Healthy Diet Menu May Be Different From Mine!

The definition of a healthy diet plan for my two kids is quite similar but there are a few unique diet tweaks for each.

Heathy Diet Plan?

They are both allergic to:

  • Barley/Cornflour/Gluten/Malt/Oats/Rye/Spelt flout/Wheat flour/Wheat
  • Dairy Mix
  • Peanuts/Sesame Seeds
  • Grapes/Strawberries
  • Soybean flour
  • Corn
  • Mushrooms
  • Chocolate
  • Yeast

Now thinks about all processed foods.  99% of processed foods contain the above item(s) and therefore cannot be in their healthy diet menu.

Here are some of the unique allergens:

Son: Milk/Yogurt/Tuna/sunflower seeds/Mango/Tomato/Honey

Daughter: Cheese/banana/Kiwi/Pepper/Bell Peppers/Coffee

Planning healthy meals became very difficult!

This means:

  • no gluten pastas
  • no gluten breads
  • no pizza
  • no Subway
  • no fast foods (that is ok)
  • no cereal or oatmeal
  • no peanut butter and jelly
  • no salsa
  • no chips

Now you know why my son asked tonight, “Is tomorrow egg day?” and gave me a big smile when I said ‘yes’!

    I just remembered a few other favorites that are out, at least for now.
    Chili, Stew (I use Vegetable Juice, Worchestersire and soy Sauce)
    Tacos, taco salad – Yikes!
    (The ban on tomatoes is tough!)
